Staysunsetlife opened in 1992 as a single villa on a sheltered bay, expanding only when we were certain growth would not dilute what drew people here. 34 years later we hold 90 rooms and suites, two kitchens and one gaming room, and we still decline more bookings than we accept.
For us, luxury is not marble and gilt. It is the second coffee that arrives unasked, the driver who recalls your name, the table kept an hour past closing because the conversation was still going. We recruit for that instinct and retain those who possess it.
Most of our guests return — and that is the entire plan. We would rather 62 percent of a smaller circle come back each year than chase a larger audience that never does.
